My One and Only

Music and Lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin.

Monday 7th to Saturday 12th October 2002 at the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage.
at 7:45pm, and 2:30 Saturday Matinee

In our Centenery year of 2002 we are proud to present 'My One & Only'.

We are very fortunate in being able to stage this show as it is currently on in the West End in London, at the Picadilly theatre. We obtained the rights to put on this show, one day before they decided that it would be professionally staged in London.

Hitchin Thespians were the first amateur society to stage 'My One and Only'!

Captain Billy Buck Chandler meets Edythe Herbert Edythe breaks into dance! Prince Nikki watches and waits Edythe and Billy pass the time on the sandy shore. The rescue party arrives, but who needs rescuing? Billy has time to follow his dream.
           
Prince Nikki drives his Aquacade girls to practice their routines. The Aquacade finale. Billy makes another trip to Mr Magix' Emporium for some more advice. It is bound to involve some tap-dancing. The Rhythm Boys, in one of their many disguises; this time as Mrs O'Malley. It's those Rhythm Boys again, this time off to Morocco to join the Foreign Legion. Billy searches for Edythe in the Club Oasis in the Casbah, Morocco. Will he find her?
